Ana studied drama at Cristina Rota Drama School in Madrid, and holds an MA in Applied Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. With over ten years of experience as an actor, she has been involved in productions with Honda Teatro and Hecuba Teatro in Madrid, as well as with Carlton Theatre Group in London. As an applied theatre practitioner, Ana boasts more than seventeen years of experience working through the arts with vulnerable communities. She has led workshops, devised and directed theatrical productions in collaboration with organisations such as Almeida Theatre, Clean Break, Unlock Drama and Synergy Theatre Project, among others. Ana’s debut as a playwright came with ‘Discovering Eva’ in 2012, a collaborative piece produced with Hécuba Teatro. ‘La Boda’ (The Wedding)’, her first full-length play as a sole playwright, was brought to life in 2017 with Honda Teatro. She has also written and directed several short plays, including ‘A Few Million’ which earned the Carlton Theatre Group Award for Best Showcase Piece in 2022.
