James Denny is a multidisciplinary theatre technician, event professional, and entertainer, and the owner of the fun and friendly Mudlark Creative crew. His many and varied hats include technical maintenance for The Cockpit and The Drayton Arms; technician for four theatres including The New Wimbledon; freelance lighting designer/programmer/operator (Guys and Dolls, Leighton Park School; The Lovely Bones, and Not Another Absurd Evening, both at South Hill Park; Duologue Night, BeFe Studios and more) and buzzing around crewing a huge variety of events. James is also a rugby referee co-ordinator, a railway professional and (as a neurodivergent individual) member of the RMT union’s Disabled Members Advisory Committee. As part of the New Wimbledon crew James was proud to have been one of the stage electricians for the development of the new War Horse tour.
