Susanna Statton

Susanna brings a wealth of theatrical experience to our company, rooted in her drama studies dating back to her graduation from St Mary’s University in 1987. She has portrayed Angela in Caryl Churchill’s ‘Fen’, taken on various roles in ‘Calvalcade’ at Sadler’s Wells, and in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Bugsy Malone’ at Putney Arts Theatre. Susanna has performed in classics like Lorca’s ‘House of Bernarda Alba’, in contemporary works such as ‘Love of the Nightingale’ by Moira Buffini, in comedies like ‘Out of Order’ by Ray Clooney, and in pantomimes like ‘Cinderellaland’ and ‘Robin Hood.’ She has portrayed Pollina in Chekov’s ‘The Seagull’ and Maureen in David Aldridge’s ‘In Basildon’. She further exhibited her adaptability in ‘Enron’ by Lucy Prebble, where she portrayed male characters and a wooden ventriloquist’s doll. Beyond acting, Susanna has directed successful productions like ‘Ladies Day’ by Amanda Whittington, ‘Touch’ by Vicky Jones, ‘Nell Gwynn’ by Jessica Swale, and ‘Anne Boleyn’ by Howard Brenton. Susanna has also written a number of short pieces that have been performed on stage and radio.
